To Mother:
First, thank you for giving me a subject for a blog posting.
Second, I love you.
I understand it is a mother’s official conquest in life to be worried about their young, however, it makes me feel pain to know that you worry so much. I don’t want you to. I would like you to know, despite all my social shortcomings, I will be fine. I am going to make friends with all kinds of different people and I will learn all kinds of different things from each of them.
My life is going to continue to play out per the decisions I choose to make every day. But don’t worry, you have taught me well and I will never ever forget the wisdom you continue, everyday, to pass along to me.
We have always had such a close and great relationship and I do not want that to ever change. You are the person I always feel that I can turn to, to talk about anything.
Now that I am getting older, I still need you…maybe not in the ways I used to, but you will always be the most influential person in my life. I need you to stand by me and support me in the decisions I choose to make, knowing that in the end, everything is gonna be great. God has a plan for me.
So, I love you. I will always love you! Please don’t worry…I have been raised by a wonderful mother.
My mother is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I will always remember the tune. ~Graycie Harmon
